music: We're Both So Sorry, MIRAH
|
"For I am a soujourner in a foreign land. Give me rest that I might go hence, and be no more."
I only ask that before I drop off the radar completely, those who I stood beside in defiance of great lies(you know who you are, my family) listen to "We're Both So Sorry" by MIRAH. I think it really sums up everything pretty well. I wish you all the best of luck in your endeavors. Comrade Friend, over and out. |

I'm thinking of taking these classes at Harvard over the summer. One is on writing, and the other is on behavior modification. These are college level things and so it might kick a lot of ass. I am also thinking of taking a class on the Samurai warrior classes rise and fall. I would only have class twice a week for each one, and they're all on mondays and wednesdays. That means I could take the bus or train back here every couple of weekends and would be able to stay for like four days. That's not so bad right. I'd still be able to see you guys, and I'd be learning stuff. Then again, I have Peter who has been helping me for awhile and I don't I'm good enough to say he given me all he has to give. My dad will probably pay for the train and stuff. I need input on what to do. I'm gonna be in college anyway in september, so should I spend my summer working in O'doodles and hanging, or learning about stuff I'm itching to get at. Help. |

I think I just secured a job. It's at O'doodles Toy Shop, and it seems like it will be easy as hell. They were impressed that I have previous childcare experience, and asked if I could do story time. Sat 9-6 and Sun 11-5. It's gonna be hard to write all the stuff I need to do for my classes, but I'll find a way. I might have to start doing homework during my frees(gasp). But I need cash, real bad, and this is an excellent way to get it. |

I am glad I was never taught 1984. I think that to have it spoonfed to me by an english teacher would have ruined it. As it is I listened to it on tape on the version created by the BBC during the summer of junior year while playing computer games, which is how I read a lot of books. You see, it doesn't take much thought to play some games, so having a good book on stimulates the mind fully. I've got a ton of books on tape, and if anyone wants to borrow one, I'd love to spread the love. |

Cadre
The star of my love Waxes and wanes, Holding me to its cheek Or nuzzling my thumb.
I sit with you In venous trenches, Heads down Breaking bread After wiping off the earth. You with your sharp teeth, Fencer’s tongue, Found man’s jaw, And astral light. Sometimes a smile is Enough.
But now it’s almost time to go back Into this essential fray. My knife is as clean As my conscience. We pack in silence Exchanging tokens and handshakes. Later on I’ll write in my journal by the light of a cigarette. But now I just miss All of you. I wish you could join me With all that you have to bring. But those sunglasses hide The world from you Same as you from it. Alone It always comes back to this. Alone And I am left One of the few Still willing to die For a mistake.
-Polyphony? Opinions appreciated. Keep in mind I don't 'do' poetry. |
